MORGAN BENEDICT (Performer) GREG BROWN (Performer) JESSICA BUCHANAN (Performer) SHANNON COOPER (Performer) DES GEDDES (Performer) BRITTNEY MARTENS (Performer)
Morgan Benedict is our ballerina prima... coola persona. Morgan is involved in all things theatrical. She is a dancer, performer, loves hanging from a hoop in the air and has many theatre credits to her name; Back to Beulah, As You Like It and many more! She was the Stage Manager for The Freudian Slips for many years and was in The Drowning Girls with Western Canada Theatre in 2019.
This is Greg Brown.Greg can dance (been doing it for 11 years at the Kamloops Dance Academy). Greg can improv (he has been a Freudian Slips member since 2018). Greg can act (he has been in multiple productions at TRU like Midsummer Night’s Dream, Concord Floral and OODLES MORE!!). Greg is Disney obsessed and has a dream of being "guy with a moustache" ... it's not lookin' good Greg, not lookin' good.
Jessica Buchanan is a born and bred Kamloops adventurer. You may have seen her in TRU performances such as As You Like It, Back to Beulah, Gossip, Village of Idiots and several other obviously fantastic shows. She is the Co-Founding Director/Creator of The Freudian Slips Improv Troupe, which she is proud to say is still going strong! She is a recent graduate of The Second City Toronto’s Conservatory Program, Improv for Actors Program and Pen to Performance Advanced Sketch Comedy Classes. She is the current Education & Outreach Assistant at Western Canada Theatre and the Current Artistic Managing Director of Chimera Theatre and she thanks everyone involved for creating such a wonderful festival and working so darn hard. Hope you laugh and enjoy the show!
Shannon Cooper is a dynamite performer who you may recognize from TRU performances such as: As You Like It, Vanya, Sonya, Masha and Spike, Laundry and Bourbon (most proud of), Mourning Becomes Electra and many, many more! Cooper is the current reigning champion of Project X’s improv night (in your face Brendan Law). Shannon is also a genuine front-line hero as she is a teacher of children and should be awarded many medals for this. She went skydiving but refused to let go, hung onto the wing of the plane, started to cry from fear and got told to suck it up and got pushed off.
This is Des Geddes, and they have been doing theatre as long as they can remember. You may recognize them from shows such as The Electric Baby at TRU (Natalia), A Midsummer Night's Dream at TRU (Snout/Wall), Concord Floral at TRU (Couch), The Freudian Slips Improv (2019-present), and Directors Festival 2018 at TRU. Des is extremely talented, uncomfortably cool and massively stylish… you would be a fool not to watch them perform.
Brittney Martens is our performer extraordinare! She has performed in over 20 musicals, which sprouted her love for the theatre. You may have seen her in her may performances throughout Kamloops such as As You Like It, Mail Order Bride, uncommon women and others, Laundry and Bourbon, 12th Night, She Kills Monsters (most proud of the last one) at TRU, Jungle Book, Rapunzel, The Three Musketeers, Cinderella at Project X and was a member of The Freudian Slips (kind of one season ). Brittney is currently the Apprentice in Theatre Creation at Western Canada Theatre and also teaches with the Stage One Theatre School.
