The first thing to say this National Volunteer Week is WE MISS YOU!
It’s times like these, when we have time to reflect, that remind us of how much we value and need you, our incredible volunteers. You are everywhere: you are the welcoming faces that greet us at the theatre doors, serve us in the lobby and guide us through the theatre, keeping us safe at every step; you are behind the scenes working in our costume and carpentry shops, with our theatre school, and reaching out to our patrons by phone; you sell raffle tickets, support events and fundraisers—BrewLoops, the Mayor’s Gala for the Arts—and promote memberships in the Kamloops Centre for the Arts.
We miss all those activities that bring us together, but it’s really you we miss, your dedicated and steadfast presence, year after year, bringing energy, expertise, and cheer into every enterprise.
And, quite frankly, there would be no performing arts in Kamloops without you.
So, our closing note, but one that we can never say enough, is WE THANK YOU and look forward to the time when we can all be together again!
