Last week saw the departure of long-time Marketing & Communications Director, Catrina Crowe. In her eight years at WCT, she was a key player in developing a whole new look and feel for the company's brand and formed strong bonds within the community. She is off to other exciting pursuits, and she will be missed by the staff, the visiting artists and all of the other people who had the pleasure of working with her.
Also moving on is Frankie Knight. After a couple years of generating some amazing visuals and managing most of our social media presence as our in house Graphic Designer, Frankie will be taking on a more full-time role at the local, all-female, creative agency, Pepper. We're very excited for her.
Stepping into the role of Interim Marketing & Communications Director is Kirk Smith. He will be a familiar face to many of our audience members, as he has appeared on our stages many times over the years, most recently in Dracula: The Bloody Truth and as Buddy the Elf in Elf: The Musical. In addition to acting, Kirk runs his own Graphic Design and Engagement business, Dancing Monkey Creative, and his experience in the field, paired with a long history both with WCT and the Kamloops community makes him a great fit. One of Kirk's many new tasks is the writing of posts like these, so he will refrain from writing more flattering things about himself.
