In celebration of our 50th anniversary, Western Canada Theatre hosted Breaking Ground: 50 Years of WCT, a 70s-themed fundraising celebration at the Sagebrush Theatre.
The evening brought together artists, patrons, sponsors, and community members for a night of music, memories, and celebration. Guests enjoyed signature cocktails, live music, and a silent auction featuring donations from businesses across Kamloops, Kelowna, and Vancouver! An onstage mini museum showcased costumes, props, and memorabilia from five decades of Western Canada Theatre productions.
The celebration continued with a star-studded concert featuring memorable performances from beloved shows including The Sound of Music, Les Misérables, Little Shop of Horrors, and, of course, Mamma Mia! Ending with a disco dance party on stage, Breaking Ground was a joyful finale to an unforgettable evening celebrating 50 incredible years of Western Canada Theatre.
